Looking Back: 2017 in Review

I’m sure I’m the only blogger looking back on 2017 right now. Me, the rest of the internet, and my two readers. Joking aside, it’s been a great year and I’ve picked my top 10 posts (it was hard, there are a few that were very close to making the top of the list). 

Some of these posts I love because of the fashion, some the backdrop or the subject matter. Some, I felt inspired to write and some felt like they would never come to me. The most joyful thing about this journey has been my renewed love for writing. You may not know this but I got a degree in writing (journalism and pr) with a minor in more writing (Shakespeare to be specific). Then, along came things 1-4. Though I’ve dabbled in writing here and there since, I’ve never stuck with something like Mommy in Flats. Here are some of my favorite pieces from the year.

I’ll wrap up this post with a little Merry Christmas from my family to yours and a Happy New Year to come. I look forward to seeing what 2018 holds for us and for this blog. If you had told me this time last year that I would still be blogging and it would have become such a major part of my life, I would probably have said nah. If you had told me then that I would organize a project telling everyone in the world about my experience with PPA (heck I hadn’t even told some of my real life people at that point!), I would have said no to the way. Yet, here we are ending 2017: a year of tears, laughs, new friends, and friendships lost. A year of exploring opportunities and making choices; snuggling babies and watching them grow; a year of beginning again and continuing on. On that note, I’ll stop my ramblings and leave you much the way I began…with much love.
