A lot. That’s really all you need to know about the Budu bag. It has pockets, lots of pockets. Three large zippered compartments, one outside zippered pocket, and one inner zippered pocket. It also has about six or seven open ones spread throughout the rest of the bag. I don’t know if you know this but, I have four children. I have had multiple bags. Bags I liked, bags I loved, bags I returned. Well, you get the idea. In fact, when I was pregnant with baby HeyJ I decided I wanted a leather bag. The options are just not extensive. There’s a lot of vegan leather options (read plastic) and there are a lot of really pricey options but not a ton of classic, reasonably priced ones. I settled on this Oemi bag. It came, it was beautiful. But there were two problems, one, the strap was diagonal so the bag hung awkwardly if it wasn’t zippered. Second, the first time I used it, the zipper broke. Thank goodness for amazon’s awesome customer service or I would have been stuck.

That’s when I found Budu Baby. I was nervous because it had to come all the way from Australia and what if after all that I didn’t love it? After some ordering issues (my bank didn’t like me ordering something overseas), and some awesome interaction with customer service, I received my bag. And, it not only met my expectations but greatly exceeded them. It’s soft, beautiful, leather. It’s huge but not so huge that I can’t carry it comfortably. Well, and have I mentioned it has pockets?

So at long last, here’s what I’m carrying around these days. These are my favorite things and if you have a stork coming your or someone you know’s way soon, you might want to check them out.

  1. Wow love this bag and being an Aussie I love that it is came from Australia! It looks like a bag you could continue to use well after baby! Love it! And love that baby bags can look so good now!

    1. I know! Who knew when I was sporting my first colorful Vera bag that I would ever want a tame tan leather diaper bag but here I am. I love that it goes with everything and I never get tired of looking at it!

  2. Oh wow what a beautiful bag! And probably will continue serving you for a long time after baby isn’t a baby anymore… So tempting to get one! How much was it–and how much was shipping?

    1. It was under $300 USD with shipping but the company is Australian so I can’t quite remember. The bag is so beautiful and functional. I will be using it long after the kids are grown though I don’t want to think about that!
