Channeling Flash Dance with my Winter weather outfit. I’ve been wanting to wear this outfit for days but with the temps in the 50-60 range it was just not happening. God finally obliged by sending some 33 degree weather and lots of mist and rain. I can handle that, I have boots. And, legwarmers. Oh, the legwarmers. After my post the other day garnered so much concern about my frozen feet, I decided I had to show you all that I can, in fact, dress appropriately and still rock some fashion.
I have to say that I would probably be pretty excited to wear some hunter boots. But, the legwarmers were $3. And, I don’t know if you know this but I love a great deal. Plus, I bought those Sperrys last fall before I found out I was pregnant and hibernated for the winter, and I’m determined to get some wear out of them! I actually like the personality the legwarmers added so I have a renewed appreciation for the moc boots. I’ve been questioning my purchase a bit (and we all know how that feels).
The legwarmers and the hat (on clearance from Bed, Bath, and Beyond- why they had these things, I don’t know- I guess they were in the beyond section) are probably my favorite part of this outfit. Oh and the shirt. That was a Christmas present from J. Okay, I picked it out and then had him buy it for me and give it to me for Christmas…what can I say? I really liked it. We forgot to snap a picture of the back while we were out but I had to show you- it’s gorgeous. Definitely a love. And, look, it’s a cute baby too!
In other news, another sweater I purchased on the same shopping trip was not a love and I’m proud to say, instead of trying to see if it would grow on me, I returned it. Does anyone else have that problem? I used to be horrible about returning things, now with return policies that let you wash and wear and return, I only keep the things that I really love and fit me well. I suggest you embrace the same goal (only to wear what you love), it makes life a little more cozy and who doesn’t need a little cozy in her life?
