Fashion. Sometimes it’s about trying things outside your comfort zone and sometimes it’s decidedly not love. But, hey we tried and though it may not be love for you, there’s someone out there that’s finding the love in that very style.
This outfit. Have you ever tried something and it just didn’t work? From fashion to child rearing, I’ve made all the mistakes and I’m pretty sure this was one of them. I was going for Sunday chic by dressing up these denim joggers. Where did I go wrong? To be honest as much as I love these Earth sandals, I think it was too much red. Also, the blouse is gorgeous and I love it but I think I would have been more comfortable in these joggers with a tee and some really cozy footwear (not to say those sandals aren’t comfy because they are- but they’re a little bit dressy and I feel like comfy, cozy, would have hit just the right notes). But, back to the red, I should have listened to my instafriends (I ran a poll and I think my ABEO booties won) and gone with one of my original options- which were all shades of tan.
What I didn’t get wrong: that bag (I got it right here and here and here), those pants. They just need different styling. That can make or break an outfit. Don’t be afraid to take a risk and if you find yourself struggling with a piece: try, try again. Your favorite look may be just a graphic tee away.

So, outfit redo. I really wanted to try those joggers again- they’re a bit out of my comfort zone but I knew it had been the styling with try number one, not the pants. This time I stuck with my favorites: a basic tee, cozy cardi, and my Bearpaw sandals (these are an awesome comfy basic- wearing them out before it gets too chilly). I threw my incredibly soft Latico Leathers bag over my shoulder.
The difference is amazing. I felt better (and covered my bum which helped- these pants are cute but I prefer to show off my buns in a more slimming style) and that made me look better. Personal style and fashion are all about comfort- it doesn’t matter how trendy a look is- if it doesn’t make you feel good, it’s out.
Which style do you like more? Comfy casual or shades of red?
Even as a fashion blogger, sometimes I hit all the right notes and sometimes not so much. I think the main don’t here is that the first outfit didn’t make make me feel good. It’s not awful, it’s just not love. And, when it comes to what you wear, not being comfy is the biggest faux pas anyone can make.

I absolutely LOVE how you styled these two looks! I’m partial to the one with the cardigan, but I love both!
Hands down on the cardigan! So far my instagram poll is leaning the other way! Who knew???
