But, dressing for it can be delightful. (Ah as my brother would probably say- yeah I’ll take some wine with that cheese.) I can’t say I absolutely hate the cold because I wouldn’t want to live somewhere warm all the time (I’d melt faster than Olaf in summer). But, it’s not my favorite thing. I much prefer about 70 with some sunshine to the really cold or the really hot days. That said, there’s something fun about all the winter accessories: scarves, sweaters, and hats, oh my! Yes, I can even get excited over a pair of mitten/gloves.

So, although, I’m not really all “do you want to build a snowman?” when it snows, I am grabbing my boots, gloves, and hat and skipping out the door. Who doesn’t love a chance to mix it up a little? Mind you, my boots this year are a little more fashion than function (whose idea was it to buy shoes as boots?? And, I’m really holding out for a pair of Hunters). I have to admit my feet were a little cold in this outfit.

The dress was super comfy for a day of tidying up some clutter corners, making a trip out to an appointment, dropping the kids off at the sitters, and heading to Martin’s on date night out with the hubby (because doesn’t everyone grocery shop when they have a date night?).

After all that, I promptly changed in to PJs for some cheese fondue and gift exchanging with my love. We even still have the tree up because when you have four children, divesting the tree of a million ornaments just never seems to be the priority.

This is how I’m staying warm these days, what about you? How are you braving the cold? Anyone else loving the opportunity to bundle up?

    1. I had socks! You just can’t see them. That said, I need a real boot for snow. It just hasn’t been top priority when I’ve needed to replace a lot of staples with this new gluten free lifestyle making none of my clothes fit (in a good way:).
