The Space In Between

The sun is out, buds are appearing, and daffodils are poking through slowly warming earth. After an extra cold winter, the signs of spring make me want to toss every sweater, coat, and boot into the dark depths of our basement (for real, spring cleaning needs to hit because that basement needs some work). However, the air is still rather crisp most days and the quickly melting snow has left the ground soggy at best.

When we get a minute of sunshine, I have to jump at it and bare my legs for just a minute. But, the reality is not so uncovered. It’s still pretty chilly here in the Mid East Coast. In Virginia we really do get all the seasons (sometimes in the span of one week or a day) and winter is holding on tight. So, I’m tentatively baring a few toes and shoulders here and there but always carrying a cardigan in the other hand.

My spring staples for moms include a good pair of sandals (made for walking, I love the Lilly by Jambu), and good basics (tees like this one gifted by LA Made, classic denim, and leggings- I’m living in Pact right now). Top it off with a bag made for moving (I love this Latico Leathers cross body because it has a zipper and a flap to keep all my essentials safe and the cognac color is perfectly warm for the sunny days ahead). My last spring must have is an oversized dress in neutral. This dress has been popular for the last two years because the oversized design allows for a lot of styles (layer it, knot it, belt it, or just wear it loose for a comfy vibe).

Spring shoes need to be breathable, easy to wear, and comfortable for walking. Here are a few of my favorite Jambu finds:

The Lilly. A light wedge with a memory foam sole. I love them in the light tan color for a clean neutral in a springy shade.

The Sandy. Stylish mix of a kitten heel and a wedge. I love the deep cognac color and the beautiful basket weave. They add a little warmth to your wardrobe.
