I’ll admit, I’m late to the party on this one. It took me a minute to get on board with the one piece thing (I mean- public bathrooms- enough said). But, the more I saw them, the more they grew on me and here we are. I still haven’t found my perfect basic romper (if you find a solid black tank jersey one, let me know) but this week I’m going to show you a few fun patterned ones.
First up, my black and white tank romper. I love that this one is classic, the flow is fantastic and even with the wrinkle-prone material, I felt like it wore well.
This was actually my 4th of July comfy look. I wanted to dress up but be cozy. I’d already worn red white and blue for the holiday BBQ (head over to Instagram to see our family photo). This black and white look was a good back drop for my kids’ star spangled outfits (they were too busy having fun to pose for pictures on the actual day). It was great for relaxing by the pool and it stayed pretty through all the food prep and little kid chasing.
I’m officially broken in to the world of rompers. And, here I have to admit, you’re only going to see two because I only have two so I suppose naming this the week of the romper is a little misleading (but so catchy). I’m trying to be more conscious in my spending and though I love this style right now, it’s definitely a trend and who knows how long it will last? But, I’m going to enjoy it while it does!
Romper: Target
Sunnies: Ray-Ban, similar
Shoes: Josef Seibel (I take it back- everything I said about these shoes was wrong…they’re comfy. I still think they’re going to wear like my Birks which means feet indents but after giving them another try they stood the test of an all day on and off my feet type day. I think maybe they’re just going to take a little breaking in.)
