Whether you like to go glam or cozy for the holidays, you can throw something together with pieces you already have (or should have) in your closet. Here are my top wardrobe must haves to keep you Holiday ready in a pinch.

  • 1. Boots. Whether you like booties or knee highs (or over the knee though I tried that trend yet) a good pair of black boots will add a little kick to your holiday style. I love a sleek pair of high leather boots (like the Duchess from SAS Shoes) to pair with jeans, leggings, or short dresses (with tights- gotta keep those legs warm!). Booties are my winter go to for faux leather pants and longer dresses- loving these c/o Rockport (use code ROCKPORTBLOGGER25 for 25% off).
  • 2. Leopard Print. For some reason a little leopard screams holiday to me. I personally love adding it in a simple shoe like these c/o Rollie. You could also throw on a splash of animal print with a scarf or even a pretty coat.
  • 3. Something Red. My go to is obviously a scarf (I just got a new one from Loft! They are having some awesome sales if you need something- I’ve had my faux fur infinity scarf for three christmases now and still love it). But, I also love this shimmery Amelia James dress for a token holiday specific piece. The shimmer gets me every time. I paired mine with a simple jean jacket but you could really dress it up with some faux fur or a beautiful shrug.
  • 4. Sparkles. By now you know I’m obsessed with arm candy. I have been ever since my friend (and jewel hocker;) Carissa introduced me to Stella and Dot. These days I’m loving the vibes of Arely Designs and I’m wearing them with every outfit. They offer all sorts of options including personalized and customizable stacks at really reasonable prices (they’re on Instagram or you can shop here).
  • The thing I love about adding classic pieces to your wardrobe is that they can be mixed and matched and reworked all season (you know you’ve seen that scarf over and over for years and it was under $20 from target so many Christmases ago). Those leopard mules are going to get a workout well into the spring and I think even summer with shorts! I sound like a broken record, I know, but if you add quality pieces to your wardrobe, they will last you season after season.
