This post was sponsored by gifted product from Filgora. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. I try to only share products and brands that I use and love. I have been using Filorga products for several months now and have noticed a difference in the texture and appearance of my skin as a result.

When I was younger, my sister told me you should start prepping your skin for aging in your 20s. It stuck with me and she was right. Finding a good skin routine that actually works has taken me years and if I hadn’t started working on it over 10 years ago (I won’t say how many more than 10 years;), I wouldn’t have the skin I’m in now. Skin care is a fine balance between moisturizing, blemish control, and wrinkle care. Over moisturize and you’ll end up with a face full of acne. Under moisturize and you’re asking for wrinkles. I’m going to share some of my favorite products and tips for youthful skin that you should be doing right now no matter how old you are!

  • 1. Hydrate. Our bodies are mostly water so it makes sense to drink it. And, I’m talking pure water not sugary drinks or coffee (though I’m pretty sure my body is 90% of that black goodness). But, you already know you should be drinking lots of water. What you might now know is that you need to be using a lotion to keep your skin soft and smooth. This is where knowing your skin is important. Mine tends to be oily so I prefer to use gels and light lotions to add in that moisture and plump up my skin. My top pick for hydrated skin: Filorga NCEF Reverse, this line is my favorite because it’s light and really works to keep your skin glowing without the weight of a heavy cream. One to try: Filorga Oxygen-glow, this sounds like a great starter lotion for the younger generation. Gotta start early!
  • 2. Prevent wrinkles. The number one way to stop wrinkles before they start is to stay out of the sun. Aside from that, a good wrinkle prevention skincare routine is key. I focus on my trouble spots: laugh lines and crows feet. Filorga has several amazing products for eyes and firming. My two favorites are NCEF- Reverse Eyes and Lift Structure. NCEF- Reverse Eyes is the single best eye cream I’ve ever used to firm under eye bags and eliminate crows feet. I use the Lift Structure cream for trouble areas like under my neck and laugh lines to tighten and lift my skin back into place. Ones to try: Time Filler and Time Filler Eyes which are amazing for fine lines and wrinkles.
  • 3. Supplement. Working with your body to get the nutrients you need has benefits inside and out. Supplementing goes beyond vitamins though. (You can read more about my vitamin routine for healthy skin, hair, and more here). You can supplement your beauty routine with different products that enhance your results but aren’t necessary for everyday use. I love adding serums and masks to my routine to give myself a little bit extra self care. My absolute favorite right now is Filorga’s Exfoliating Bubble Mask. It brings the spa experience home and leaves my skin tingling.
  • Another way to enhance your skincare routine is with a lash and brow serum. I’m loving the full, long lashes and filled in brows Filorga’s serum is giving me. I’m excited to try all their products as I expand my supplemental skin and self care routine.

And, whatever you do, don’t forget to wash your face twice a day. It’s important to use a gentle wash that doesn’t strip your skin of natural moisture. I love Filorga’s foaming wash. It’s light with the hint of scent and doesn’t make my skin feel tight or dried out like harsh cleansers can. Next up, I’m going to try their leave on Micellar solution. I love micellar cleansers because they remove makeup and leave your skin with a dewy glow.

No matter your age, it’s never too early (or too late) to start thinking about skin care. Treat your skin gently and consistently because one thing is for sure: you only get one skin.
