Domestic Engineer-ing and a Giveaway

What does the term domestic engineer mean to you? Over the weekend I asked this on instagram and got pretty varied responses from supermom to curator of the community. It’s amazing how many different emotions one little phrase can inspire!

For me, it’s the long days of whining and running and cleaning and feeding. It’s the long up all nights with sick babies buried in laundry and dishes. But most of all it’s a little face snuggled close to mine saying “mama, I wub you.”

I’ve had a lot of people say things like “I don’t know how you do it all.” Usually, I look back at them and say “you too!!” Because, I don’t know about you, but often, in my own world, I feel like I’m falling short. When I look at A I think- “Wow, she’s really got it together. I should be more like her and do X, Y, Z.” The truth is, we all have our strengths and our weaknesses and we all struggle. One thing we can unite under is rocking our families the best way we know how and sporting our favorite Hudson Lillian Designs tees.
