Thank you to Betabrand for gifting me one pair of Dress Pant Yoga Pants. All thoughts and opinions are my own. And, I purchased the other pair of pants before this collaboration so that tells you how much I love the brand!
That’s what life feels like sometimes but I won’t go down that exhausting rabbit hole. Instead I’ll just talk about some fashion. Let’s go way back to last fall (does that feel like a life time ago to anyone else?). My friend mentioned this awesome pair of pants that feels like yoga pants but that you can wear to the office (I mean if you go to the office anyway). She couldn’t remember the name but a quick google search revealed it was the Dress Pant Yoga Pants. I was sold at first click. Back when I first started this fashion blogging journey, my first big purchase was an amazing coat from them. I still love it. I needed those pants.
Fast forward through the craziness of the holidays and I finally got around to ordering myself a pair (the cigarette skinny). I picked them up and thought they felt substantial. I was skeptical they would feel like yoga pants. I put them on one leg at a time as people do and zipped them up. Heaven. That’s the only way I can describe them. It literally felt like I was wearing nothing and yet, here I was dressed for successes, almost like a real grown up (am I the only one who may never feel like an adult no matter how old I get?).
It was rather perfect when just a few weeks later I got the opportunity to work with Betabrand on, you guessed it, the Dress Pant Yoga Pants. This time I went with the classic skinnies (the cigarette skinnies are a more relaxed fit and they have pockets and a functional fly). I can’t say which I like more. The cigarettes have fun details like the cropped fit and zippered ankle. On the other hand, the skinnies are the perfect classic dress pant. They are longer and I have to fold under the leg to make them cropped on my 5 foot 4 self but I find that it’s an easy fix as it stays put all day and allows for different styles (I can go full length for a to the foot fit that goes better with certain style shoes). The verdict? It’s like comparing apples and oranges, I love both for different reasons, which is why I like having both in my wardrobe.
Still not sure if the Dress Pant Yoga Pant is really as perfect as I’ve described? Just take a look at the pictures. I’m dressed for the board room (or Sunday Church for us stay at home moms) but ready for kick boxing, and sometimes that’s just what motherhood calls for.
