It’s blue week. Though winter is decidedly grey outside, it makes me feel rather blue inside so it’s pretty fitting that my closet colors match. Dark blue is also another great neutral and I really recommend adding it to your basics (tees, jeans, dresses etc) to improve functionality.
I’m kicking this week off with a completely not practical outfit for a mom of four in the middle of a snow/rain storm. But, isn’t it gorgeous?
Sometimes, you just have to throw your inhibitions (and skirt) to the wind and see where you land. That’s how I ended up with four children snuggly in the car and one husband in the bushes while I danced in what was supposed to be the beautifully falling snow (turned rain). If I’ve learned one thing in the last year, it’s that if I plan to do pictures, it will rain on my photoshoot. Life doesn’t always follow our script so always make sure you carry an umbrella.

WOW! This dress is just so stunning! I always think they are amazing staples to have in your wardrobe – not that you will wear them a ton, but it is always amazing to have a great piece like that for weddings, special events, or even just to feel sexy!
