I know that’s a popular colorful legging brand slogan but I’m in the minority- I like black leggings so I haven’t gotten into those just yet (but stay tuned- I may have more to say about that soon). I just can’t give up wearing leggings as pants. I’ve given it a good run and at least I’m not wearing yoga pants (most days anyway). Leggings are just so darn comfortable.
In light of my love of leggings I’m going to show you a week’s worth of outfits featuring leggings as pants. My new motto: you don’t have to be comfy not frumpy (I’m so good at catchy phrases right?). In other words, don’t give up comfort for fashion. I know there’s a popular saying “beauty is pain.” And, pain can be beautiful (think child birth), but there’s absolutely no reason to inflict it on yourself in the name of fashion. So, that itchy wool coat you never really liked? Donate it. The pair of jeans that don’t fit quite right? Leave them on the shelf. That shirt that is just a little too stiff? Send it back. Join me in liberating your closet from pain and put on a pair of leggings.

Leggings Are Pants: Day ONE: Just Add Tunic
You know how those certain brand of leggings feel? So soft and cozy. Well, I found some at Costco by Felina in black that feel that same way and cost $14.99 for a 2 pack. My only gripe is that they’re a little more off black than true black but I can forgive that for the comfort factor.
I do have to say, I’m getting used to wearing jeans or dresses all the time, so it did feel a little exposed wearing leggings with a tunic- I think next time, I’ll go with something just a little bit longer. However, I really liked how it came together with the coat. And, I’m loving the ankle booties.

I don’t know if I agree. There is a fine line and many people cross it. I’ve seen way too many butts lately in more detail than I should. I’m pretty sure that this trend is going to be the one people look back and think what were we thinking?? (particularly the crazy colored ones).
I agree on the colored leggings- but they’re popular! I like black leggings and then I usually wear at least a butt covering tank top with a tunic. They’re good momwear. All trends are pretty circular. My favorite trend right now is mid century fashion. It’s everywhere. The biggest thing is that people need to wear what fits them- because if it doesn’t fit, it doesn’t matter what you wear.
