Maybe just a cute baby bag.

It was Baby HeyJ’s baptism day last weekend and we celebrated with a whole family coordinated outfit (though B decided she was going to wear a different dress than I had picked out but whatcha gonna do?).

I’ve had this outfit picked out for weeks. By the way, have I mentioned that I like pink? Because, yeah, I think that might be a nice piece of information to have. I love pink, on girls, on boys, on babies, on husbands. Skirts, handbags, shirts, shorts. I think you get the idea.

Now that we’ve got that over with, it was a gorgeous day. Baby HeyJ was a perfect little angel while getting the devil out of him. He didn’t even make a peep when the priest ran water over his head. The kids had so much fun watching their baby brother join the Church and other than a Brussels sprout incident (see below- yeah he sported that through family photos- you can’t win them all), the day was perfect.

I actually didn’t have to buy a thing to make this happen last weekend. I already had the skirt and flats from last fall, and the shirt and sweater have been hanging in my closet unloved for quite a while (having a baby kinda gets in the way of fashion I suppose). I love the look of a flowy shirt with a billowy skirt. I usually pair this one with a cropped t-shirt (with a tank top under- I am a flat wearing mama but not a belly bearing one:) and long sweater but somehow this combination seemed more appropriate for the occasion.
