It’s Friday and here are a couple of things I’m obsessing over.

Christmas Movies. I’m getting into the Christmas spirit over here from the comfort of my own home. We did go to see the Grinch and the Nutcracker. Both were pretty good. Neither were great with a two year old. I do still love the original Grinch movie and thought the new one was long so fair warning. However, now we’re working our way through our holiday favorites with movie nights as often as we can. So far we’ve done Elf, the Santa Clause, the Grinch, Rudolph, and a couple Halmark Classics (PSA do not watch the Christmas Shoes with Rob Lowe- that was a mistake, I want to send whoever wrote that coal. Note to self: if a movie opens with a scene in the graveyard just turn it off). On the still to watch list: The Christmas Story, Charlie Brown’s Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life, Christmas Vacation, and we’re having a Home Alone 2 pj party tonight! Speaking of which, does anyone else cringe at Home Alone because it’s way more rude than I remember it. But, somehow I can’t cross it off the list- hoping the second one is a little better.

Game Night. Every night we’ve been gathering around the Advent wreath (which is another favorite thing) and then playing a game on our Nintendo Switch. Right now we’re obsessed with Overcooked and Mario Party. If you’re looking for a good family game console, I can’t recommend it enough. Some of my favorite family games are Mario Party or Kart, Just Dance, Overcooked, and Monopoly (we don’t have this one but it’s on our Christmas list).

What are a few of your favorite things right now? I don’t know about you but I’m really loving anything that brings my little family together. If you need us, we’ll be over here in our little cocoon making memories and wearing comfy shoes.
