Whether you’re about fashion or function, waterproof boots are a must in snowy (or rainy climate). Here, I’m breaking it down by category to help you choose the best boot for your lifestyle.

Busy Mom. If you don’t have all that much time to think about fashion, finding an all in one boot for everything from rain to snow is a must.

The best all weather boot for you: Duck boot.

Working woman. If you need something chic but functional, great for walking but sleek for the office, I’d choose a waterproof faux leather or other water resistant knee high boot. Keep the color classic black or rich brown and add a heel to keep it dressed up.

The best all weather boot for you: knee high heels.

Bonus: pair them with the most comfortable tights ever for a dressed up look!

Outdoor Adventurer. If you spend a lot of time in the great outdoors you need something thick, warm, and good for long walks. Heels and leather are out.

The best all weather boot for you: heavy snow boot.

Whatever style you choose, you don’t have to compromise fashion for function. I remember the first pair of snow boots I bought as an adult. The whole ordeal was so depressing and I came home with the ugliest shoes that I never wanted to wear. Now, I know better than to shop Target for my feet (I know, I didn’t think I’d say that about Target either but their shoes are so bad for my feet).

I spend a lot of time testing out different shoe brands and right now, Jambu has got to be my favorite for functional all weather style. They don’t have a ton of dressy options but that’s perfect for me (the busy mom), though I do love the dressed up shoes from this post too (these are office, party, and church ready right here). I think every woman needs a snow/rain ready shoe that she can throw on in a pinch without worrying about how it fits her lifestyle. I wear all three of these styles because I am a shoe addict. But, if I could only have one pair of shoes for me, it would be the duck boots. If I did more city walking, I’d choose these. As far as playing in the snow, you can’t go wrong with a good mid rise duck boot or a solid snow boot.

And, now enquiring minds want to know: what type of boot are you?

Thank you to Jambu footwear for the comfortable boots for women. Also featured, outdoor clothing brand, Aventura. I’m proud to be an ambassador and love to post my pieces they’ve sponsored (and some they haven’t!).
